Nowadays, with so many commitments and tasks that come every day, it’s important to take some time off. Tell yourself regularly, I don’t let others put me under pressure. Because you often get pressured. When you have a lot of appointments in your schedule, you also need rest. Time off is restorative and saying no more often when new tasks come up. How often do people ask you to do something you don’t want to do? The “short” in the request conveys that it can be done quickly. But sometimes it takes longer. Then you often regret that you accepted the task. Only then it is too late. That’s why you should think about it more often in advance and simply say no to new tasks.

Who wants to look stressed? It is simply better to have more time. You decide what you let get to you. You know what’s good for you. Others don’t. They make suggestions to you, or ask you to take on something. Most of the time they ask you because they don’t like something themselves. That is why you alone can decide whether to take on the task.

Ask yourself questions first. Is this task good for me? Is it easy to do? How much time will it take me? Can I delegate parts of the task to others? Can I delegate it? Does it make me richer or more valuable? Am I learning something new in the process? Am I overwhelmed by it? If you answer no to any of these questions, then you’re better off turning it down. Unless you have to do it because it’s part of your job at your company or you get paid well for it. These are of course good arguments.

In this inner agreement you can decide alone. Don’t let others put you under pressure. Because it doesn’t feel good to have done something only because you had pressure. It is much better to approach something with joy. If you do what you like to do, your results will also be better. Without stress, many things are easier. Remember that when you get requests from others again. If you are tempted to take on something, you can also ask for time or think about it again in peace. Well, there are also tasks that do not take care of themselves. These are on your daily schedule anyway and for them you also need strength. Therefore, think calmly beforehand and do not let others put you under pressure.
