Especially in the cold season, stress resistance seems to decrease, especially due to vitamin D3 deficiency. There are a few ways to prevent this: Exercise, supplement vitamin D3, drink enough and perhaps the best solution eat right! With the right foods, you can increase your stress resistance and keep you more exuberant. That’s why today I decided to share with you my great and super quick recipe against stress: Power Balls or Powerballs.

They are so called because they are really small balls full of power increasing ingredients that not only taste good, but also increase your well-being, regeneration, attention and beauty. So you do a lot for your body and soul and can snack without a guilty conscience. The so-called “Powerballs” consist of dates, which boost metabolism and regeneration. The many B vitamins in the date strengthen your nerves and the potassium content has a blood pressure lowering effect. The magnesium relaxes and the date stimulates your digestion. All in all, probably the most nutritious fruit against stress. Then they contain nuts of your choice. You can take cashews, which contain a lot of tryptophan. This brightens your mood and strengthens your nerves. But if you don’t have any on hand, just take walnuts or hazelnuts or nuts of your choice. All are great for the mind and nerves. And if a nut tastes especially good to you, it’s also especially good for your personal well-being. I like to add some shredded coconut and a little coconut oil to bind it. After all, the smell and taste of coconut immediately transports me to a faraway Caribbean island and it sets the mood!

What you need:

Dates (preferably Madjol)
Nuts of your choice
Coconut oil

For the quantities, you’ll just have to let your gut decide. Depending on which ingredient you want to taste more and which less. You can just put all the ingredients together in a chopper until you get a pretty best but easy to shape mass. Now wet your hands and form small balls, or big ones, depending on what you like. You can now put them in the fridge for about 30 minutes so that they become a bit firm. Then you can roll them in cocoa or coconut flakes or whatever you like. Your personal power balls are ready. You can keep them and have them as a healthy snack on the go. You can be completely free with the recipe and adapt it as you like. Add or omit ingredients. Let your creativity run wild. Now if that’s not a stress killer!
